Kenneth W. Savage, past President for WSC

Kenneth W. Savage

(December 23, 1942 – May 16, 2016)

Kenneth W. Savage, 73, of Bay City passed away Monday, May 16, 2016. He was born in Tipton, Oklahoma on December 23, 1942 to parents Ernest and Velma Burks Savage. They preceded him in death.

Kenneth was a caring husband, father, and grandfather. He was known for his generosity and compassion. Kenneth was an avid gun collector and was a reserve deputy of the Matagorda County Sheriff’s Department. He was also a director for the 100 Club of Matagorda County and a member of the Los Carnales Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. Kenneth founded the Elkhorn Construction Company in Wyoming and served as one of the last presidents of the Uinta County Search and Rescue Team. He served as president of the Selkirk Water Company for six years and was instrumental in securing the purchase of the water company for the community. It was very important to Ken that the Selkirk Homeowners’ Associations (SMA and SCA) own and control the water we drink. His knowledge and determination cannot be replaced and he will surely be missed. The Selkirk Board of Directors will continue striving to reach the goals Ken put in motion, namely making our water supply superior for our community. Ken loved helping people.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Cindy Savage of Bay City and his children, Amber Savage of Evanston, Wyoming, Kristine Morales and husband Richard of Bay City, and Justine Savage and wife Claudia of Firestone, Colorado. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jadon Morales, Carson Morales, Kypton Savage, a brother John Savage and wife Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Goodbye our Friend! We will miss you.
