Selkirk Water Update - Aug 19
A message from Selkirk Water Company President Ken Savage:
The water main leak was repaired on schedule this morning. It was another joint that had separated. Sorry for any inconvenience. Yesterdays outage was due to another blown fuse at the south well (second one in two weeks) and we had another one today, when bringing the system back up. We believe the problem is low voltage and or spikes coming from the power company. AEP was contacted and they have installed monitoring equipment at the site. They should have caught the problem today. Hopefully they can correct the problem. We are also going to be announcing future system shut downs on the bulletin board at the entrance to Selkirk Island for those that do not have E-Mail accounts. We are making progress.
